Technology Showcase: Akoya Biosciences Inc. – Implementing Highly Multiplexed Single-Cell Spatial Tissue Profiling in a Core Lab

Speakers: Aniruddh Solanki, PhD, Instrument Sales Specialist, Akoya Biosciences and Jon Mulholland, Director, Cell Sciences Imaging Facility (CSIF), Stanford University

Akoya Biosciences, The Spatial Biology Company, offers complete tissue imaging solutions that span biomarker discovery and clinical/translational research. Multiplexed tissue imaging enables the comprehensive study of different cellular phenotypes and neighborhoods which impact disease progression and treatment response in cancer, autoimmune disorders etc.

The CODEX Solution enables researchers to image 40+ proteins in the tissue microenvironment with whole tissue spatial context and at single-cell resolution, making it ideal for hypothesis-free biomarker discovery. The Phenoptics Solution (which includes the Mantra, Vectra scanners, and Opal multiplex IHC panels) is a rapid, high throughput tissue imaging solution which can scan 6 markers on a slide within 10 minutes and scan up to 80 slides per run.

In this workshop, Dr. Aniruddh Solanki of Akoya Biosciences will introduce the latest innovations in the CODEX and Phenoptics workflows for highly multiplexed tissue imaging. Thereafter, Jon Mulholland, the Director of the Cell Sciences Imaging Facility (CSIF) at Stanford University will discuss the implementation of the CODEX Solution in his core lab.
